Hoof Harted is a party game. The phone plays a comically over-engineered "detector": you name everyone in the room, the unit performs an elaborate scan, and then it names one of them at random.

Is this a real detector? No. It is a game and it senses nothing. You type in the names, and the app picks one of them at random. The scanning animation, the percentages and the sound effects are theatre. The result screen says so.
How does it choose? Uniformly at random from the names you entered. Every name has the same chance. With Pro you can also pick the result in advance using Rigged Job, which is an openly advertised way to fix the outcome — because it is a toy.
Do I need an account? No. There is no sign-up, no login, and no personal information. The names you type stay on your phone.
Where do the names go? Nowhere. They are stored on your device and are never sent to us. Deleting the app removes them. See the Privacy Policy.
Can I use my own music? Yes, with Pro. Go to Scan Music and pick any audio file on your phone; it plays instead of the built-in warble and swells as the scan closes. A copy is saved inside the app so it keeps working, and nothing is uploaded — the file never leaves your phone. Removing the track, or deleting the app, deletes the copy.
Why can't I pick a song from Apple Music? Streamed and purchased tracks are copy-protected, so no app other than Apple Music can play them — they will not appear in the file picker. A music file you own outright will.
How many free rounds do I get? 2 free rounds. After that, a subscription unlocks unlimited play.
What does the subscription include?
- Rigged Job — pick the culprit before the scan even starts
- Your own scan — name what the unit hunts for, up to 30 characters
- Your own music — play a track from your phone under the sweep
- Any scan length — anything from 3 to 60 seconds
- Unlimited scans — no counter, no limit

How do I cancel? In your device's account settings, not in the app:
- iPhone: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions
- Android: Play Store → profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions
Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the period you have already paid for ends.
How do I get a refund? Refunds are handled by Apple and Google, not by us.

I paid but the app still shows me as free. Open the subscription screen and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple or Google account you bought it with. If it still does not appear, email us at: info@happybirdsentertainment.com and include the date of purchase and which store you used — do not send us your password or payment details; we will never ask for them.
The app has no sound. Check the Mute button on the scan screen, then your phone's volume and silent switch. The game plays fine without sound if you prefer.
